Even very damaged teeth can be reconstructed by the so-called dental crown or bridge. To do this, the root of the original tooth must be viable. If the root is not viable or has been lost a long time ago, the tooth can still be restored by the so-called dental implant. In essence, it is an artificial dental root which is quickly and painlessly inserted by the surgeon into the jaw. A dental crown is then made to be placed on this artificial root. Several teeth can be reconstructed by dental implants at the same time, it isn’t a problem to replace all lost teeth in the jaw. Even in the case of unfavourable conditions, extensive bone loss, it is now possible to use an implant but it is necessary to build the bone up first – augment.
